Vozinha’s path to professional football was far from conventional.

Before entering the professional game, he worked in the fishing industry in Cape Verde while continuing to train in his spare time. With limited training resources, he developed his skills through determination and discipline, eventually signing his first professional contract at the age of 25.

Over the following decade, Vozinha played in six countries, mainly in lower-tier leagues, while spending much of his career competing for opportunities and experience.
